Meditate on the Lord, is a site that God has place on my heart. It is designed as a daily devotional. Seeing God in the everyday simple things that sometimes go unnoticed.
Unlike modern thoughts about the word meditate, the meaning here is not to empty the mind completely, but instead empty our minds completely the everyday stuff that we come across and fill our minds with focused thoughts on the Lord.
Psalms 119 explains the core heart of me and the focus of this site.
Here are a few scriptures that expresses the ideas behind this site….
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. Psalms 1:1-2 (KJV)
Within your temple, O God, we meditate on your unfailing love. Psalms 48:9 (NIV)
I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds. Psalm 77:12 (NIV)
